HOW IT WORKS:
Through our competitive College Preparatory Schools Program, highly motivated students of color are recruited for placement in over 300 outstanding independent (private) schools across the country. Though we do not offer financial aid, many of our amazing students get need based scholarships from the schools they apply to!

A Better Chance is the preeminent national resource for recruiting, identifying and developing leaders among young people of color – African-American, Latino, Asian-American and Native American – in the United States. Through a unique assessment model, A Better Chance refers academically talented students entering grades 6 through 11 to some of the nation’s finest independent and public schools to be considered for placement and financial aid. Students who are successfully placed in one of our 300+ member schools become a part of the signature College Preparatory Schools Program, and receive access to expanded educational and leadership opportunities.
